Marnie Brodersen is a bizarre woman – plain and simple. Not only is she a little off, but strange things happen to hear a lawt. After spending three years and a gazillion dollars (Thanks, Daddy!) on a graduate degree in Psychology, she realized that listening to people’s problems all day wasn’t exactly her forte. But telling the stories of all the unusual occurrences in her life was. So she made a switch into writing, and worked her way up the pride-swallowing ladder of entertainment. She was an assistant, a writer coordinator, a personal assistant (for only three months, but the stories and scars from this one will last a lifetime), and, finally, a Copywriter for Americanidol.com. She only made it in the industry about five years when she and her husband decided they’d had enough of the fake ta tas (Well, Hubby didn’t quite mind this), bad traffic, and having to pay way too much for a frakking cup of coffee. So they settled down in the beautiful north county of San Diego, where they live with their son, Finnegan, and a very, very round voluptuous pug named Olive.
In her spare time, Marnie likes to watch way too much television, eat a load of cheese despite her high cholesterol, drink copious amounts of wine, and look at old photos of her younger self while eating a gallon of ice cream and crying very, very hard. In an endless pursuit of fighting the calories from such endeavors, she spends a lot of time on the treadmill, much like a dog chasing its tail.
When not spreading the word via her graffiti, she can be found spouting off about television and American Idol’s season seven winner David Cook on Examiner.com. She is also a celebrity news junkie, and has hopes of one day landing a gig in which she is allowed (and actually paid) to write ruthlessly mean stories about their rich and ridiculous ways. Hey, we can’t all be Pulitzer Prize Winners.
