Lisa H. - Graffiti Artist

Lisa H.

Lisa H. is a writer, photographer, blogger, reporter, mother and wife (not in that particular order).

She blogs at Boondock Ramblings.

Boondocks, for those who don't know, means ‘middle of nowhere.' Lisa H. grew up in the middle of nowhere in the northern part of the United States. She lives in a town a little removed from the middle of nowhere now, but not too far away.

The middle of nowhere is filled with rednecks; chew-spittin', tractor ridin' farmers; corn fields; hay fields; cow poop; and rusty old cars. It is also filled with beautiful views, rolling green hills, and some seriously nice people.

Lisa H's blog focuses on the humorous and touching moments of everyday life. For the most part she is a ‘mommy blogger' but doesn't like having labels slapped on her so she ripped that thing off as fast as she could and stuck it on some other bloggers instead. They ripped it off and shoved it down her throat, but whatever, life goes on.

Lisa H's regular job involves typesetting obituaries, wedding and birth announcements and very dull senior citizen meeting minutes for the next day's newspaper. Sometimes she has chew spit in her general direction and sometimes 90-year-old women shake their canes at her because she didn't publish their old people class photo fast enough. (Is it Lisa's fault she thought they would be dead before they'd notice it never went in the paper?)

Sometimes she's allowed to pick up a camera and take a few photographs for publication. When she isn't allowed to touch a camera she makes up for lost time by taking photographs of her cats, dog, reluctant husband, excitable toddler, barns, flowers, and strangely worded signs.
