Can you tell me about PowderRoomGraffiti?
PowderRoomGraffiti has evolved in response to the exasperated sighs of women across the globe.
These women are friendly, articulate and curious about the lives of other women.....but they are bored of celebrity trivia, weight-loss tips and media bitch-fights.
Their lives are busy dealing with careers, partners, children or ageing relatives.....but they are tired of being bombarded with advice and urged to try harder.
They want to get the best out of the lives they have chosen for themselves (or somehow ended up with).....but they are no longer the stars of their own show.
PowderRoomGraffiti highlights the varied lives and experiences of these women and amplifies their voices. Our global community is the perfect place to share laughs, honest views and opinions in a safe and supportive environment.
We invite you to become part of that community by contributing an article or video, posting a comment, participating in our Debates and polls, or providing a recommendation.
When you join PowderRoomGraffiti and offer your perspective, you will be helping another woman find her own.

What does PowderRoomGraffiti want from me?
We need you to like us. No, not really but we hope you do. What we would truly love, however, is for you to become an active member of our metaphorical Powder Room. We think that each of us has a point of view that is unique. If you share that point of view as often and honestly as you can, you will provide a perspective and insight that may help another woman overcome a challenge, solve a problem or get a laugh.

Who makes up the PowderRoomGraffiti audience?
Our audience is primarily made up of women in their 30's, 40's and 50's. Currently all of our articles and other content flow through one of our two editorial centers in New York and London. Therefore, most of the women you bump into on the site will be from the US or the UK, however, we have many users from Canada, Europe and the Pacific Rim countries. This sharing of wide ranging, global perspectives is one of PowderRoomGraffiti's strongest attributes.

Why should I register at PowderRoomGraffiti?
The main answer is to share a little bit of yourself with like-minded women. However, in addition to unadulterated altruism, there is the ability to save your favorite articles to your profile page, make it easier to participate in the 'Shout It!' debates and to post comments to feature articles, submit graffiti for our editorial review and possible publishing to the Site, and recommend useful things to all of us on the Site.

How can I submit an article to PowderRoomGraffiti?
On almost every page, there is a 'Submit Your Graffiti' icon which takes you to the submissions process. You can also access this from the 'Join It' community section of the site. You will see a list of our submission guidelines here . We encourage you to read these and submit your writings for editorial review as often as you like (but please don't submit the same article more than once as we do read each article submitted).

How do you keep the PowderRoomGraffiti community safe and free from mean spirited people?
Through cooperation with you. You can 'flag' any comments or Daily Debate posts that you think are offensive or otherwise do not belong on the site. We will look at every one of these to determine the appropriateness of the comment or post. If a comment or post is 'flagged' by three different users, it will be removed automatically. We are, however, not censors and our goal is to allow people to speak their mind safely and honestly, and while you may find something personally offensive, remember our community is large and diverse and while we all share many similarities, we also celebrate our differences.

How do I use the 'Shout It!' Daily Debates?
Every Daily Debate (the second set of articles on the Home page) is linked to the 'Shout It!' Daily Debate page. You can add your opinion by following the story link to the Shout It! page. You can also access the Debates by going directly to the Shout It! page from the Nav Bar. If you are not a registered user of the site, you will need to enter a name in order to add your opinion.

How do I leave Comments to feature articles?
Feature articles are the first two article on the Home page. When you click them to read the entire article, you will also have access to the comment board related to that article. If you are not a registered user of PowderRoomGraffiti, you will be asked to enter a name before leaving a comment to an article. Feature articles, and the related comment board, are also available through the 'Search' function and the Nav Bar and icon-based category pages (Live It, Love It, Byte It, Share It, Feel It!, Get It?).

How do I recommend products, services or other useful things to my fellow readers?
By clicking on the 'PRG Loves' icon, you will be brought to the recommendation and referral listings. From there, you will have the opportunity to provide your own referral or recommendation that you think we will all love. You must be a registered user.
